AND SPORTS COMMITTEE
General Meeting – 27th June, 2018
PRESENT: Sam Marshall – Chair, June Row – Minutes, Derek Ward, Rebecca Durston-
APOLOGIES: Angela Reilly, Rick Warburton, Elizabeth Yorke.
WELCOME: Sam welcomed everyone.
MINUTES: Minutes of the meeting held on 3rd May were accepted and signed.
MATTERS ARISING: Sam asked if the internet banking was now reset. It is but Dick still has to liaise with Rick to switch it to him.
The President has confirmed and is Iwan Jones. June asked if it was going to be him and his wife Meinir. Iwan confirmed that it would be them both.
All judges are now finalised.
Dick has spoken to Wayne and he is willing to service the generator before the Show.
The School have confirmed that they will cater for the day. Iwan to liaise with regards electric etc.
June has approached someone re a hog roast but is waiting for confirmation.
The catering for stewards and judges is going to be a problem as Christine is away this year. Iwan suggested Ann Roberts and June agreed to approach her. Secretaries to discuss the logistics.
FINANCES: Sam asked what fundraisers we have organised. June confirmed that we have a musical evening in September, another Book Sale in October and the 100 Club.
Derek wondered whether Rick has finalised the 100 club so he could put the details on the website. June to pursue.
SCHEDULE: The advertisers were almost complete and sponsors have all confirmed their support.
Details of the President’s Evening were needed for the Schedule and the Newsletter. It was decided to put the date, August 25th but not the price as this was still unclear.
June asked whether LCC are going to give a grant this year because if not their name would need to be deleted from the Schedule. Sam reported that the meeting was the following day and he would confirm.
ATTRACTIONS:We still haven’t managed to speak to Mike of the Boat Club but Dave has spoken to Paul the Hawk Man who will be attending. The band has been changed due to unforeseen
problems. The Flatville Aces have confirmed.
